Source code access can be granted to interested and registered developers (git repository).

License

netpp is distributed in two versions:

1. free: Cut down functionality, Support for Linux only, LGPL license. Private or internal use. Support: see Forum. Code not up to date.
2. commercial: Fully customizeable option with arbitrary support packages, various test benching features, etc. for use in commercial products. Access to latest code base.

We currently need to run a dual license scheme to support development and respect prior customer investments into netpp.

Device database

Obviously, a major effort needs to be taken to implement a web based service to offer device description files to the public. This does not lie within our current scope, but we are open to offer support to device vendors who are interested in using netpp technology to reduce their documentation and development overhead.

We have developed some parsers for some vendor specific device description formats for translation into XML device descriptions, for example:

• Aptina sensor data (SDAT) format
• BSDL files
• Various vendor specific XML file formats (Analog Devices, etc.)
